Apparatus for automatically discovering link information between network equipments using multicast PIM protocol and method thereof

An automatic discovery device of connection information between network devices using a multicast PIM(Protocol Independent Multicast) protocol and a method thereof are provided to search connection information automatically among interfaces of all of the network devices by using a neighboring function for all of the network devices, so that the searched information can be in operation, thereby more stably offering multicast-based services. A policy management and scheduling module(110) sets parameters for collecting information and setting target network device lists for collecting PIM neighbor information, and outputs a driving signal for periodically collecting the PIM neighbor information. A PIM neighbor information collection and analysis module(120) collects information which is in neighbor relation with interfaces of network devices whose PIM protocols are neighboring with each other, compares collected raw data with a resource DB to analyze interface connection information between two network devices, and delivers the analyzed information to a following device. A topology management module(130) confirms whether the PIM neighbor information is changed, and pushes changing information in real time to a driven operator client as changing a topology DB if the PIM neighbor information is changed, so as to change a topology view of the client dynamically while updating a screen.
