METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PREDICTING A RECOGNITION RESULT USING CONFIDENCE INTERVALS

PURPOSE: An authentication method for predicting a recognition result by using a confidence section and an authentication system thereof are provided to predict a result about the authentication of an authentication server through only simple PCA(Principal Component Analysis). CONSTITUTION: A photographing unit(212) obtains a primitive image by photographing bio-information of a user. A main ingredient extracting unit(214) obtains main ingredients by applying PCA to the primitive image. A prediction unit(216) determines whether the main ingredients belong to a confidence section stored in a security token to predict the authentication of the user. An authentication unit predicts an authentication result by using the confidence section. The bio-information predicts the authentication result by using the confidence section including feature information indicated on an iris, a fingerprint, and a face.
