PURPOSE: An assessment method and system for system stability based on dynamic power-voltage curve are provided to prevent a wide area power outage since the system stability is dynamically evaluated by reflecting real-time monitoring data on a power-voltage curve based on off line determination. CONSTITUTION: A voltage and effective power of a transmitting end and a receiving end are obtained(ST110). A power-voltage curve is extracted using the obtained parameter(ST120). A safe driving limit of received power is obtained from the power-voltage curve(ST130). The voltage and active power of the receiving end are obtained in a current power system(ST140). System stability is determined by comparing the safe driving limit with the receiving end voltage of the current power system and the active power(ST150).
