PURPOSE: A position tracking apparatus of multiple moving objects in a wireless sensor network and a method thereof are provided to exactly grasp the position of a source even when a noise including a Doppler effect and a Rayleigh multipath fading is included in a receiving signal.;CONSTITUTION: A frequency divider(122) receives an acoustic signal generated from moving objects from multiple sensor nodes(10), divides a frequency band, and extracts a main frequency component. A relative distance data calculator(124) calculates the energy intensity of an acoustic signal which each sensor node senses from each moving object according to an extracted main frequency component. The relative distance data calculator calculates relative distance data indicating a distance relation between each sensor node and each moving object by comparing the class of an acoustic signal energy intensity in each sensor node.
