Developing Tapering Process of 100 PLA and PLA/PBT Blended Monofilaments using Alkaline Hydrolysis

摘要

PURPOSE: A PLA/PBT blended monofilament and a method for tapering the same are provided to enable easy and clean tapering of biodegradable plastic fiber. CONSTITUTION: A method for fabricating a monofilament comprises a step of performing melt spinning 5-25 wt% of polylactic acid. A method for tapering the monofilament comprises a step of dipping one end of the monofilament in 40-50%(w/v) of an alkali solution and reacting at 40-90 degrees Celsius for 30-90 minutes. A tooth brush and a cosmetic brush contain the tapered monofilament.
