PURPOSE: An eco-friendly agent for cultivating spinach using an agent for preventing downy mildew is provided to establish organic cultivation of spinach and to stably product spinach. CONSTITUTION: An eco-friendly agent for preventing downy mildew of spinach contains essential oil extracted from cinnamon, essential oil extracted from Hyssop, essential oil extracted from clove bud, or essential oil extracted from Eucalyptus. The essential oil extracted from Eucalyptus is E. nicolii or E. approximans. The agent contains Bacillus subtilis; Paenibacillus polymyxa, or Pseudomonas fluorescens.
