PURPOSE: A cross-flow type water turbine installed in a waterway is provided with an extended service life and silent operation by preventing impeller vanes from becoming corroded. CONSTITUTION: A cross-flow type water turbine(40) installed in a waterway(1) comprises a casing(10) and a rotary wheel(20). The casing is installed in the waterway, and increases the flow velocity of the water by gathering. The rotary wheel is installed at an outlet(13) of the casing. The rotary wheel is rotated by the water gathered by the casing.
