PURPOSE: A method for producing tin emitting low-alpha radiation by using electrolytic refining is provided to produce tin with high purity and low emission of alpha radiation within a short time. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing tin emitting low-alpha radiation by using electrolytic refining is as follows. Distilled water, H2SO4(Sulfuric Acid), SnSO4(Stannous Sulfate), a plating inhibitor, and a potential difference reducing agent are mixed in an electrolytic cell and electrolyte is obtained. An anode(130) composed of Sn and a cathode(140) composed of Ti are formed and washed. The anode and cathode are installed on first and second lead wires(123,124) connected to a micro current supply device(110) and electrolytically refined so that Sn is deposited from the anode to the cathode. The deposited Sn is separated from the cathode and washed to obtain Sn emitting low-alpha radiation.
