The present invention relates to a frequency offset estimation method using repeated training symbols in an OFDM system. The method includes generating an OFDM symbol for a simulation to estimate a frequency offset; Transmitting the generated OFDM symbols in an AWGN (additive white normal noise) environment or a Rayleigh channel, respectively; Receiving the OFDM symbol; Frequency offset estimation using Moose's training symbol structure, Frequency offset estimation using Schimidl's training symbol structure, Frequency offset estimation using Morelli's training symbol structure, and Frequency offset estimation using Laourine's training symbol structure Estimating a frequency offset of the received OFDM symbol for each of the frequency offset estimation techniques and obtaining a mean square error (MSE) from the estimated frequency offset; And determining an optimal frequency offset estimation technique by comparing the MSE obtained for each of the frequency offset estimation techniques to a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR).
