An automatic matching method of three-dimensional scan data for an intelligent excavation system is provided. An automatic matching method of 3D scan data for an intelligent excavation system includes the steps of: a) installing a spherical GPS combined target at a target point; b) collecting a plurality of scan data by performing a three-dimensional scanning operation using a three-dimensional scanner at a target point where a spherical GPS combined target is installed; c) automatically recognizing the spherical GPS combined target and performing automatic registration of a plurality of scan data using the spherical GPS combined target as a reference point; d) converting GPS coordinate values of the spherical GPS combined target into a common coordinate system; And e) reconstructing and merging the automatically matched plurality of scan data into a single data format, wherein the spherical GPS combined target is changed even if the position or orientation of the 3D scanner is changed by using the spherical GPS combined target.
