SUB-MATERIAL FOR STEEL MAKING AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SLAG BASICITY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An iron making sub-material and a slag basicity adjusting method using the same are provided to reuse ferronickel slag which has been treated by landfill so far, thereby improving environmental pollution, and reduce costs. CONSTITUTION: An iron making sub-material includes ferronickel for adjusting the basicity of slag. The iron making sub-material includes less than 95 wt% of a mineral containing magnesium. The mineral containing magnesium is at least one kind selected in a group of dolomite, olivine, magnetite, brucite and a magnesium ball. A slag basicity adjusting method comprises: A step of manufacturing a compound of the iron making sub-material containing ferronickel for adjusting the basicity of the slag and iron ore; and a step of inserting the compound into molten steel.
