LIGHT-DIFFUSING FILMS AND THEIR USE IN FLAT SCREENS

A film comprises (wt. %) transparent polymeric resin matrix (80-99.9), and film of polymeric particles (0.01-20). The film of polymeric particles is dispersed in the matrix. The particles have a refractive index different from that of the polymeric resin and average particle size of 1-100mu m. One surface of the film having structured surface has 60[deg] gloss value greater than 0.5 and smaller than 20%, and roughness greater than 3-less than 25mu m. The other surface has a 60[deg] gloss value greater than 50%.
