PURPOSE: An air curtain type apparatus for preventing the spread of flame is provided to form an air curtain by using flame and smoke from a firing place, thereby preventing the spread of flame. CONSTITUTION: An air curtain type apparatus for preventing the spread of flame comprises a fire sensor (10) sensing fire; a flame sprayer for air curtain which receives flame and smoke from a firing place and sprays the same to the surroundings thereof to prevent the spread of the flame; a controller (30) which controls the operation of the flame sprayer for the air curtain based on the sensed value of the firing sensor; a case which consists of a inflow part and a nozzle part which is is formed in the hollow case main body and the case main body; and a fan which enables the flame to flow inside the case and discharges flame through the nozzle part.
