PURPOSE: A smart belt having anti-loss function and an operating method thereof can prevent in advance losing a tool.;CONSTITUTION: A smart belt (110) comprises a sensing unit (120), a control unit (140), and an RFID reader (130). The sensing unit is attached to one side of a belt to wear, measuring all kinds of sensing information The control unit activates anti-loss function based on the measured sensing information, and determines whether a tool is lost based on RFID tag information sensed according to the activated anti-loss function. The control unit transmits information of a corresponding tool if there is a tool having risk of losing according to a result of the determination to an external device.
