PURPOSE: A SiON-based oxynitride phosphor is provided to minimize the lattice defects in a crystal structure and to obtain excellent light-emitting performance and temperature performance. CONSTITUTION: An oxynitride phosphor is indicated in chemical formula 1: M_(3-a)Si_6O_(3+3x/2)N_(8-x):Eu_a, has an excitation source of 390-465 nm, emits a visible ray of 480-680 nm and has a luminescence center wavelength. In chemical formula 1, M is an alkali earth metal ion selected from Ba, Sr, Ca, Mg, and Be, 0=x2, and 0.003=a=0.75.
