PURPOSE: A bidirectional advertisement generation device and a method thereof are provided to increase convenience when a bidirectional advertisement is inserted in a broadcast program. CONSTITUTION: Images are divided to a plurality of unit shots composed of a plurality of adjacent frames(S101). Similar unit shots are grouped as a shot group(S102). A trigger area is generated by using sketch input for a reference frame of each shot group(S103). The trigger area is traced and updated in each shop group(S104). Evaluation for the updated trigger area is performed(S105).
