PERCUTANEOUS EXTRAFORAMINOTOMY WITH FORAMINAL LIGAMENT RESECTION AND INSTRUMENT TOOLS BEING USED FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A percutaneous extraforaminotomy with foraminal ligament resection and an instrument used for the same are provided to widen blood vessels that have been pressed by ligaments, thereby improving blood circulation. CONSTITUTION: An instrument for a percutaneous extraforaminotomy with foraminal ligament resection comprises a trocarfor perforating skin and entering an intervertebral foramen; a cannula (104) comprising a handle (112) mounted at one end thereof and a sleeve extending from the handle with a penetrated guide hole into which the trocar is inserted and guided to a target position; an endmill with a blade tip, which is inserted into the cannula and scratches fine ligaments obturating the intervertebral foramen; and a curette inserted into the cannula for abrading the scratched ligaments.
