PURPOSE: A methane gas generator is provided to be able to be loaded on a truck to be conveniently moved to a place where processing objects are located, and to be able to automatically maintain the temperature of a fermentation tub where fermentation materials are contained, to a prefixed temperature range.;CONSTITUTION: A methane gas generator comprises a base (11); a gas generation fermentation tub (13) accommodating fermenting materials and generating methane gas; a gas storage storing methane gas generated in the gas generation fermentation tub; a boiler heating a heating medium with the methane gas; and a heating part surrounding at least a part of the gas generation fermentation tub and heating the gas generation fermentation tub with the heating medium.
