A wire drum device for a soundproof cover is provided to prevent damage to the soundproof cover due to erroneous operation by stopping operation of a rotary motor in advance when the soundproof cover descends with an obstacle at a lower part thereof. A wire drum device for a soundproof cover includes a guide rail(19), a screw bar(21), a wire guider(23), a driving gear(29), a driven gear(31), and an idle gear(33). The guide rail is horizontally installed at upper ends of both brackets(9,10). The screw bar is arranged between the guide rail and a wire drum so that both ends thereof are rotatably installed at the both brackets respectively. The wire guider has a guide block at an upper end and a guide fork at a lower end. The guide block is guided along the guide rail. The guide port supports a wire(3) wound around the wire drum to guide the wire to a wire groove(17) on the wire drum. The driving gear is mounted to a front end of a rotary shaft of the rotary motor. The driven gear is mounted to a front end of the screw bar. The driving and driven gears are mounted outside one side bracket. The idle gear is rotatably mounted outside the one side bracket in a state of connecting the driving and driven gears.
