PURPOSE: A pipe support type optimization design method of a pipe structure is provided to formalize a design program for minimizing support costs and to establish an analysis process of CAESAR II which is a pipe stress analyzing program. CONSTITUTION: An analyzing module receives the number and types of supports and pipe data of a pipe structure. Load condition data to a pipe is received. Whether a pipe model by the pipe data and the load condition data satisfies a condition of a pipe design standard or not is determined. If the pipe model satisfies the pipe design standard, an analysis area is set as a design variable. The support types are quantized as a set value. An optimization design model receives the support types and the pipe data to optimize a quantification value for the analysis area based on evolution algorithm.
