PURPOSE: A remote dust measuring system is provided to identify the normality of a dust measuring instrument and to calibrate the dust measuring instrument from a wall directly below a stack, a control room, or a shelter in real time without climbing to the upper side of the stack and identifying the condition of the dust measuring instrument.;CONSTITUTION: A remote dust measuring system includes an optical head (10) and a control box (20). The optical head is installed inside a tube at the end of a stainless steel probe. A light, which is emitted from the source of a light emitting diode (LED) (13) to the optical head, forms a beam through a beam forming lens (14). The right is scattered in every direction through a sampling volume at the beam. The scattered lights are transmitted to a signal detecting part through a condensing lens. The scattered light is condensed in a silicon photodiode through the condensing lens, and the signal detecting part converts the condensed lights into an electric current signal. The silicon photodiode receives the part of the lights from the LED. The part of the lights is amplified inside the optical head, and is controlled by the compensation value of an LED output power. For a better process, the electric current signal is fed back to a control box after being transmitted again through an amplifying part.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
