An image reproduction method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to change a reproduction time by extracting frames according to scene change rates of an image, and to reproduce the image from the frames at the changed reproduction time, thereby realizing rewinding and fast forward functions. A reference value of a scene change rate is set(S210). An image consisting of plural frames is received(S220). Scene change rates of the received frames are measured(S230). If the scene change rates of the frames are larger than the preset reference value, a reproduction time is changed into the corresponding frames, and the image is reproduced from the changed reproduction time(S240-S260).
