PURPOSE: A thoria nanofluid nuclear reactor coolant and a nuclear reactor using the same are provided to propagate uranium by using thorium included in a coolant. CONSTITUTION: A nuclear reactor coolant includes a nuclear reactor core (11) and a control rod (12). The nuclear reactor core is composed of fuel assemblies including fissionability fuel. The control rod is located in the core to control the output of a nuclear reactor and composed of neutron absorption materials. The coolant delivers heat to a steam generator by receiving the heat from the core and includes nanofluid manufactured by dispersing thoria in water. A coolant after a nuclear fission reaction is filtered to collect uranium (U) through thorium included in the coolant during the nuclear fission reaction.
