PURPOSE: A communications method in a femtocell and an access method of a terminal to a femtocell base station are provided to reduce power consumption of a femtocell base station by changing an operation mode of the femtocell base station between one mode which transmits Broadcast Channel (BCH) signals and the other mode which does not transmits BCH signals. CONSTITUTION: A femtocell base station operates either in an on-mode which transmits BCH signals or in an off-mode which does not transmits BCH signals. The femtocell base station transmits identification data which indicates whether the femtocell base station operates in an on-mode or off-mode (610). A terminal receives the identification data. If the identification data indicates an off-mode, the terminal transmits a request signal for BCH signal transmission to the femtocell base station (650).
