FIELD: process engineering.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and may be used in machining gas turbine engine blade root, particularly, rotor blade aerodynamic models with small thickness and axial sizes of 200-300 mm. Proposed method comprises defining amount of work-in-process stock and using butt toroidal mill to be displaced equidistantly to machined surface. First, blade one side is finished. Then, support is jointed to machined blade on machined surface side to add to blade stiffness. Resulted assembly is finished to detach said support from machined blade. For this, support made from light alloys is used, its thickness being selected subject to necessity in ruling out blade deformation by cutting force and calculated in support every section with due allowance for margin of strength.EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality.2 cl, 6 dwg
