PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a complex method of welding and a complex welding machine thereof having a high productivity while preventing deterioration of toughness of HAZ, by maintaining electric current density in a proper range both for a gas-shield ark welding and a submerged ark welding, in welding steel plates by combining the gas-shield ark welding using multiple electrodes with the submerged arc welding using multiple electrodes.;SOLUTION: In the complex welding method and the complex welding machine in which the gas-shield ark welding is carried out on an abutted part of steel plates and the submerged ark welding is carried out at the rear thereof, the gas-shield ark welding is carried out using two or more electrodes, the first electrode in the gas-shield ark welding being a welding wire having the diameter of 1.4 mm or more while maintaining the electric current density of the first electrode at 320 A/mm2 or more.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
