The invention relates to a safety device that can easily be incorporated into any type of waterproofs and work clothes and is designed to protect people who fall into the sea accidentally, providing insulation against low water temperatures, as well as providing a heat source that considerably prolongs survival time in low-temperature water. The invention comprises: a main ring-shaped bag (1), the outermost part of which is provided with a plurality of long, narrow secondary bags (5); and a check valve (3) arranged on the surface of the main bag which contains sodium that, upon contact with water, produces a chemical reaction that seals possible points at which water could enter the clothing and provides a source of heat for the body.
