FIELD: food industry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the food and fish processing fields of industry, in particular, to methods for aquatic biological resources objects storage by way of coating with a protective layer. The film-forming composition includes sodium alginate, ascorbic acid, salt and water at a specified ratio. The application process is performed by way of airborne spaying at the composition temperature equal to 0±2°C and the product surface temperature equal to -18°C, while coatings anchoring is performed by way of blow-off in a quick-freezing aggregate.;EFFECT: invention ensures production of environmentally safe, biodegradable food film coating with longer storage life and simultaneous quality preservation.
