1. A method for performing transverse wave scattering ultrasonic vibrometry (SDUV), comprising the steps of: installing a transverse wave that comprises a monochromatic shear wave component; and form a plurality of parallel-directed receiving lines (411-426) from a single tracking pulse (404) to measure the monochromatic component of the shear wave (116), the parallel-directed receiving lines (i) being generated from echo data obtained from the target locations after transmitting one pulse tracking, and (ii) contain dynamically generated receiving lines that are spatially parallel. 2. The method of claim 1, further comprising the steps of: generating said tracking pulse from at least one other pulse in order to align certain lines (423-426) from the corresponding resulting plurality of parallel-directed receiving lines to increase the depth of the measurement field. The method of claim 2, wherein increasing the depth of the measurement field involves combining some of the number of aligned parallel-directed receiving lines to create at least one reconstructed A-line (441-444). The method of claim 3, wherein the at least one other tracking pulse comprises a tracking pulse with a different synchronization, the method further comprising generating from some pulses (428-430) with another synchronization from said at least one other pulse tracking corresponding sets of reconstructed A-lines created by said association. 5.
