FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of pellet powder for small arms, particularly for a 7.62 mm automatic cartridge. The powder contains nitrocellulose, nitroglycerine, hexogene, diphenylamine, centralite I, centralite II, dinitrotoluene, graphite, ethyl acetate and moisture. The starting material is nitrocellulose with volume concentration of nitrogen oxide of 213.0-214.5 ml NO/g and recyclable non-phlegmatised wastes from previous operations. The powder has packed density of 0.950-0.995 kg/dm³.;EFFECT: invention increases bullet flight speed while maintaining pressure of powder gases in the bore within given ranges in a 7,62 mm automatic cartridge.;1 tbl, 5 ex
