FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical processing of carbon-containing material selected from peat and brown coal to obtain a high-quality ecologically clean activated concentrate without any artificial additives, which is suitable for use as therapeutic mud, a feed additive for animals and birds and humic fertiliser. The method of processing carbon-containing material selected from peat and brown coal involves passing solid material through a vibratory sieve to obtain particles with size of up to 1 cm3, treating water by hydrodynamic heating to 28-30°C, mixing the ground solid material with water in weight ratio 1-1.15 in a container using a mechanical mixer, followed by grinding and homogenisation of the mixture by hydropercussion treatment with rotor speed of the hydropercussion apparatus of 2800-3000 rpm, to achieve temperature of the mixture of not less than 40°C and subsequent separation of impurities by passing the obtained pulp through a centrifuge.;EFFECT: invention increases biological activity and degree of grinding.;7 cl, 1 dwg
