FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: first, a nanosilicon sol is prepared by adding nanoparticles of silicon powder to a water-alcohol solution and dispersing by ultrasonic treatment. The water-alcohol solution is centrifuged to form a stable nanosilicon sol. The size of silicon nanoparticles in the sol is equal to 3-50 nm. The obtained stable sol is then mixed with a mixture of polymer materials containing poly-N-vinyl caprolactam and copolymers thereof with poly-N-vinyl pyrrolidone, with weight ratio of silicon to the mixture of polymers ranging from 1 to 100. A precursor which contains nanosilicon and a mixture of said polymer materials is then deposited on a substrate and the solvent is evaporated at 20-85°C. Subsequent heat treatment at 150-500°C is carried out for 0.2-20 hours until partial or complete removal of polymers from the film.EFFECT: obtained thin-film luminescent material is optically transparent and is characterised by spatially uniform distribution and fixation of monodispersed and multidispersed silicon nanoparticles on the substrate.5 cl, 9 dwg, 3 tbl, 3 ex
