FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: method of defining graphitisation furnace core temperature in the range of 1600-3000°C comprises measuring temperature at one or simultaneously at several points over measuring element length. Said element represents a constant cross-section homogeneous cylindrical rod. One end of said rod is kept at constant temperature of 0°C while opposite end stays in direct contact with graphitisation furnace core. Core temperature at point of contact with core is defined by calculations proceeding from measured temperatures and data of nomogram of temperature distribution over rod length T=(f)l where T is temperature while l is length pre-calculated at different temperature of element hot end in the range of 1600-3000°C proceeding from heat-transfer properties of rod material.;EFFECT: accurate data.;2 cl, 2 dwg
