FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: estimation of the level of the charge relief at the photo target of a CCD matrix in advance at the end of accumulation of the current frame enables to optimally perform element by element reading thereof, using a first output register and a first "charge-to-voltage" conversion unit (CVCU) for the low signal level, and a second output register and a second CVCU for the high signal level. The level of the maximum permissible charge relief at the photo target of the CCD matrix is controlled through a feedback circuit: voltage at the output of a charge measuring unit - output voltage of a peak detector - output voltage of a differential amplifier - transmission coefficient of a light-regulating cell - illumination of the CCD matrix.;EFFECT: high sensitivity in conditions of illumination or brightness of objects which varies in the entire field of view for viewing of an image by an operator by increasing the signal-to-noise ratio at the lower section of the operating range with elimination of blurring of the image at the upper section of the range while observing for the output video signal its conformity with the television standard.;3 cl, 9 dwg, 1 tbl
