That is ensured by prescribing a natural complex an active component of which is licorice root, while the additives are lactose, polyvinyl pyrrolidone and calcium stearate in the following proportions: - in a tablet (wt %) 51.42-62.86; 32.22-39.38; 4.5-5.5; 1.84-2.26; - in a capsule (wt %) 60.00-73.33; 25.50-31.17; 2.70-3.30; 1.80-2.20, with the complex taken in a dose of one capsule 300 mg or one tablet 350 mg twice a day with food for three weeks.;EFFECT: method enables inhibiting the formation of new atherosclerotic involvements almost completely and slowing the progression of existing ones in 1,5 times through inhibition of blood sialidase activity.
