METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MEASUREMENT OF POWER TRANSMISSION LINES LENGTH

FIELD: electrical engineering.;SUBSTANCE: method for determination of the length of a power transmission line connecting the first location to the second one; characteristic of the method is provision for the first signal in the first location, such signal having the first carrier frequency (f₁); the first signal is transmitted from the first location to the second one via power transmission lines; in the second location one provides for the second signal having the second carrier frequency (f₁'); one measures the first difference of phases between the first and the second signals in the second location and calculates the length value by the measured phase difference.
