The method comprises supplying water to irrigated land of the irrigation rate, providing moistening of the estimated soil layer without the flow of irrigation water into the groundwater. At that, between moistened layer and groundwater a layer is formed of granular hydrophobic material with grains of not less than 5 mm. The upper layer of soil in the irrigated area during the inter-irrigation period is maintained in moistened condition by finely sprinkling irrigation.;EFFECT: method enables to reduce the risk of soil salinisation with close level of occurrence of mineralised groundwater in the absence of the ability of making drainage by breaking the capillary pores and stopping the movement of groundwater to the root-zone soil layer, and to prevent desiccation of the upper layer of soil in the inter-irrigation period.;1 dwg
