FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically cardiology. Radiofrequency denervation of the renal arteries is performed in the patient. A flexible balloon behind an electrode catheter tip is inserted into the renal artery. Immediately before radio frequency signal injection, the balloon is inflated using pressurised saline injected through the catheter. The circulation is temporarily arrested.
