In a method of use of heat energy in a medium, for example cooling liquid, or an object (10) dissipated thermal energy is absorbed by a heat transfer medium and converted into a re-usable form of energy and forwarded to a consumer. The medium and the object (10) is set to such a temperature level that an energy recovery with such efficiency can be generated by the heat transfer medium that an economic use of waste heat energy is made possible. As a heat transfer medium is particularly suitable a thermoelectric generator (20) which converts the output from the medium or from the object of heat energy into electric power.
