The power plant has two floating containers carrying a water wheel (1). The water wheel floats on the water and automatically fits to water level. The water wheel is attached on left and right sides to shore (2) by steel cables. The water wheel is tapered at one side so that flow of water is accelerated. The containers canalize the water, and the water wheel converts the water power into mechanical energy that is converted into current by a synchronous generator (4). A converter adapts the full generator output to desired frequency.
