The method involves drawing a bar during a wiredrawing operation to realize a continuous profile projecting or returning with respect to a support sector (2) that includes a circular or helical profile around an axis parallel to or merged with that of the bar, where a section of the continuous profile corresponds to projection according to a plane perpendicular to the axis. Complete external contour of an arbor (1) of a clockwork barrel is machined or rotated during a machining or cutting resumption operation performed around an axis parallel to or merged with the axis of the sector.
