Method for addressing a coarse actuator (182) of a servo system (170) for laterally positioning a head unit, the servo system (170) comprising: - a servo sensor (171) for detecting the lateral position of the head unit in relation to defined servo tracks, - a fine actuator ( 180) for laterally displacing the head unit in relation to the defined servo tracks and - the coarse actuator (182) for laterally displacing the fine actuator (180) in relation to the defined servo tracks; characterized by the following steps: detection of the positioning error between the head unit and a desired position in relation to the defined servo tracks; - Integration of the detected positioning error according to a predetermined function; - generating an integration control signal for the coarse actuator (182) based on the integrated positioning error; and - responding to the coarse actuator (182) with the integration control signal, so that the fine actuator (180) and the head unit are shifted in accordance with the integrated positioning error.
