The folding box has a flat material (4), particularly cardboard or paper, where the flat material is folded in a resulting package geometry at folding lines (2) or tear lines. A flat tray is continuously arranged with the flat material of the folding box at the folding lines or tear lines, particularly in the inner side of the folding box. The folding box is formed with the flat tray made of a one-piece carton blank (7). An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a folding box.
