The assembly (10) has a support element coupled with a harvesting vehicle (1). A contact wheel (17) is articulated at the support element at a variable distance such that the contact wheel rolls on an agricultural ground (3). An actuator (15) is designed as a pneumatic cylinder (43), and varies a pressing force of the contact wheel on the ground. Another actuator (16) varies a vertical distance of a rooting blade (12) from the support element, where the rooting blade is articulated at the support element. A control unit maintains pressure in the cylinder at a constant reference value.
