The device has an insulating unit (4) for electrical insulation against the ground potential of the electrical energy required for operating an electrical apparatus (3). The insulating unit is arranged in a rotor blade (1) or in a rotor hub (5). The insulating unit is formed as isolating transformer. The insulating unit is dimensioned such that the electrical apparatus remains electrically insulated against the ground potential during a lightning strike. An independent claim is included for a wind power plant with a receptor.
