Disc, useful for a disc brake, comprises carrier part and friction ring carried by carrier part, where friction ring as one joint partner and carrier part as another joint partner are connected together by fasteners made of steel material
The brake disc comprises a carrier part (3) and a friction ring (2) carried by the carrier part, where the friction ring as one joint partner and the carrier part as another joint partner are connected together by fasteners made of a steel material, where one end of the fasteners is cast in one of the joint partners and an other end of the fasteners is cast in a receptacle (8) molded in the other joint partner in a form-fitting manner. An end portion of the fasteners is located on an outer peripheral surface of the receptacle or on an inner circumferential surface of the receptacle. A corrosion protection layer is provided on the fasteners, and consists of a diffusion layer made of steel and disposed adjacent to the fasteners, a bonding layer made of iron carbonitrides and disposed on the diffusion layer and an oxide layer located on the bonding layer. The fasteners are made of an unalloyed or low alloy steel. The receptacles, into which the end portions of the fasteners engage, are molded in the friction ring and are surrounded by the material of the respective joint partner. A ring insert made of a steel material is seated in the receptacles of the respective joint partner in a positive fit manner, where the end portion of the associated fasteners engages in the ring-opening. The corrosion protection layer is provided on the ring insert. The ring insert consists of an unalloyed or low alloy steel. Air-conducting channels are formed in the friction ring for internal ventilation, and extend in a radial direction from the inner peripheral surface to the outer circumferential surface of the friction ring. The fasteners are formed as pipes or as solid pins. The carrier part is made by casting, and one end of the fasteners is cast into the carrier part and the other end of the fasteners is cast into the receptacle of the friction ring.
