The hybrid hollow support has a hollow outer profile and a hollow inner profile, which are jointly connected together by hydroforming. The inner profile has a higher strength than the outer profile. The outer profile has a better deformability and/or better corrosion resistance than the inner profile. The inner profile is extended over only a portion of the length of outer profile. The outer profile is made from aluminum 7000 or 2000, and the inner profile is formed of aluminum 5000 or 6000. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing hybrid hollow support.
