The welding tongs comprise a first plier arm (11), a second plier arm (12), and a drive (2) comprising a motor (14) and a gear box (6) for rotating the first plier arm relative to the second plier arm around a rotational axis of the welding tongs. The motor and the gear box are coaxially arranged in the rotational axis, and comprise a common housing. The first plier arm is supported over an output bearing of the gear box rotatable around the rotational axis. The second plier arm is firmly connected to a housing of the drive. The welding tongs comprise a first plier arm (11), a second plier arm (12), and a drive (2) comprising a motor (14) and a gear box (6) for rotating the first plier arm relative to the second plier arm around a rotational axis of the welding tongs.
