The device i.e. pendulum lamp (1), has a glass hollow body (2) and a carrier structure (3) comprising a coupling for hanging installation of the unit. A lighting unit (6) is connected to the carrier structure and arranged in an inner area of the hollow body. A wall (8) of the hollow body has a holding recess (9) that extends over a part of thickness of the wall. The recess is formed at a distance to a front side of the hollow body, and a holding element (11) is connected to the structure and inserted into the recess such that the body is fixed at the structure by the holding element.
