New substituted 4-methyl-5-(3-methyl-but-3-en-1-ynyl)-benzo(1,3)dioxole compounds useful for preparing the composition for reducing inflammation, and inhibiting the production of nitric oxide

Substituted 4-methyl-5-(3-methyl-but-3-en-1-ynyl)-benzo[1,3]dioxole compounds (I) are new. Substituted 4-methyl-5-(3-methyl-but-3-en-1-ynyl)-benzo[1,3]dioxole compounds of formula (I) are new. R1, R2 : alkoxy. Independent claims are also included for: an extract of Antrodia camphorata containing 4,5-dimethoxy-7-methyl-6-(3-methyl-but-3-en-1-ynyl)-benzo[1,3]dioxole; a composition comprising the active ingredients and ingestible carrier, where the active ingredient is (I) or the extract of A. camphorata; and evaluating the quality of A. camphorata, comprising preserving a dried fruit body of A. camphorata, maintaining alcohol extract from the fruit body of A. camphorata, and analyzing the alcohol extract containing compound content of triterpenoids, polyacetylene and benzene ring to determine the quality of A. camphorata.
